hey, this is my first story post please would you write some comments about it xxx
    Desert Island Mystery
    Chapter one

We’re going. We’re actually going. People say it is the best holiday destination in the entire world.
“Rosaline! Come here now! Your father and I want to talk to you!” my Mum called, from the kitchen.
As you may have guessed, I’m Rosaline. I flew down the stairs, missing the cat as I went.
“Yes?” I asked when I got there.
“Because you have been so good, your father and I thought that you could go to that island, Mystery Island. I’ve heard rumors that there’s treasure hidden there. What do you say?” I was shocked, speechless even. I have always wanted to go to that island, ever since my best friend went there. I started to pack immediately.
The following day, we were off! I was ecstatic! I went on the huge airplane and I played with my top trumps against my dad. He won 2 games, I won 3. We got to the beautiful island 2 hours later. There was golden sand everywhere and huge palm trees scattering the colossal island. There was a tree house there and I saw wires hanging down from the window.
“That must be where they put the computers,” I thought. We were sleeping in hobbit houses which are underground and dad nearly banged his head! Once we had settled in, we decided to do the island tour.
There was about 20 lakes with loads of miniature fish; orangutans swinging from the treetops and poison dart frogs, trying to spit poison at me. I heard a huge squawk coming from the sky. It was the magnificent hummingbird, circling me, to and fro. I called to it, wanting to get a really good picture. I did and it looks amazing.
    Chapter 2

But the clouds were coming over. The rain started to pour, only little bits at first but then it really poured. The hummingbird had flew away, the orangutans had gone back to their hideouts, all wanting to shelter from the rain. I heard my mum shouting at me to come to her. I couldn’t. The fog had come and I couldn’t see her anymore. I heard her voice fading away. I didn’t hear her next. She was gone.
I sheltered underneath a palm tree for the night. When I woke up, the storm was over. I got up and went off to try to find my mum. I walked through the jungle, all the way back to camp. They weren’t there. I had these thoughts going round in my head that they have gone and left me here on my own. They couldn’t have left me here...
They must’ve been told to leave straight away because I know they wouldn’t leave me here on my own. They had packed up my stuff so I couldn’t change out of my sopping wet clothes.
    Chapter 3
. I went round to the house which had wires hanging from it. It was a tree house so I had to climb up the ladder to get inside. I knocked on the door but the faint sound of music that I had heard had stopped, quite suddenly.
I went in but I couldn’t see anyone. Suddenly, I tripped over something which seemed to be a tiny sofa. I suddenly saw little people staring at me. Well, they weren’t that small. They were about 2 ft tall.
“Hello? Hi, I’m Rosaline. I was just seeing if there were any spare clothes here because as you can probably see, I’m soaked through to the skin because of that storm” I said.
“Hello. We are the Ailema people. I am Coco, chief of the Ailema people. I’m afraid we can’t help you with the clothes though... As you can see, we are a bit smaller than you.”
    “OK. I will leave now.”
“Wait! We’re having a party, come and join us."
    Chapter 4

I went in and had a small and quick party with them. It was quite good with red and orange streamers hanging down from the ceiling and red and orange balloons in every corner of the room.
After the party, Coco wanted to speak to me.
“Rosaline. If you are going to stay on this island, you are going to have to know the truth about this island... there is a poltergeist which haunts this island because there is this treasure which is buried in the deep, dark cave on the opposite side of the island. No-one ever goes there, it’s that spooky. We want you to try and defeat the poltergeist. Will you do that for us?” Coco asked.
“I’ll try but I’m not promising anything.”
I went and looked through lost property to see if they had any clothes which I could borrow. There were loads of clothes there. I managed to get a bit of armour. It may have only of been little kids stuff, but that didn’t matter.
    Chapter 5
I went there the next night. It was dark and stormy but I wouldn’t let that stop me. As soon as I got there, I started digging. I couldn’t help it. I just wanted to get it over and done with quickly. When I had dug up the treasure, I was just about to open it, when suddenly, there was a loud flash. It was the poltergeist!
“What are you doing here?!” the poltergeist stuttered, getting angrier by the minute. It didn’t look a thing like how the Ailema people had told me it would look like. They said it looked like a human but they were wrong. It was actually a blue blob with eyes like light bulbs.
“I’m getting the treasure.” I exclaimed.
“You’re only allowed to get the treasure if you destroy me but no-one has ever done that as you can see! You’ll get 1 hour to find your weapon. Are you up for the challenge?”
I had to think about it. I had to do it for the Ailema people. I went away to the Ailema people to tell them what had happened. They said that if I wanted to get the treasure and learn the secrets of Mystery Island, I should get the treasure.
    Chapter 6
I decided to learn magic for my weapon because I know the poltergeist would choose magic. That’s probably why no-one had defeated him before. It was hard at first to learn magic but as i practised, it got much easier.
When my hour was up, i went back to the cave. The poltergeist was waiting for me. We started fighting straight away, using magic and spells.
After a while, i started to get tired. I think the poltergeist was getting tired as well because it was puffing and panting and steam was coming from it. The poltergeist suddenly stopped. I managed to get one more zap out of my wand to kill the poltergeist before i got tired myself. I had defeated the poltergeist! I couldn’t wait to get back to Coco and the rest of the Ailema people to tell them the good news!
I ran back to the Ailema people, excited to tell them the news. They looked really excited, just like me. We unlocked the chest with the shiny, brass, glittery key. Inside, was bright, shiny treasure! Surprisingly, there was a greyish scroll. It read:

Well, that was just great. I did all, that work for nothing.
I was still angry when my mum picked me up two weeks later. She said that she couldn’t get back here because of the storm. She came to pick me up. I told her that I had to go and get my things.
I went to the Ailema people and told them that I was leaving but I would be back to get the second part of the code.
The journey back took 5 hours! It is only meant to take 2 hours but we had to take a different route because the storm was still going.
I didn’t really think about home much but thinking about it now, I really missed them. All I need to do know is get ready for my next trip to Mystery Island...
    The end
    (For now)
thanks for reading my story I will put the sequel to it up soon. I still haven't quite finished it. please write comments.

My next version after the Tracy beaker returns

" Tracy beaker!" Shouted mike as I accidentally dropped the bowl because I saw a picture of my mum. Then I heard a knock, I slowly open the door then I saw a familiar face. It was my mum. Not cam my real mum Carly beaker she came to check on me so I quickly ran away as I was already fostered and pushed cam into the door nearly breaking her arm. "Ahhhhhhhh" said cam as she got angry and screamed

    Dear JW Mag,
I am from Ireland, and I know that residents in Ireland aren't eligible to enter. But my grandparents (and all of my other relations on my dad's side) all live in Ireland. Is there any chance I could enter with my mobile but send the prize on to my grandparents if I win it?

  26. Posted 10 September 2013 at 15:29:03

I have just read jwlovers story post, and loved it!!! It is so so so so good. So now I am going to try and write a story post too. It probably sucks(and not in a good way)but I'll do my best. Tell me what you think of it!
    Chapter One

"Thank god!", I cried as I walked through the swinging doors and stared at the bright blue sky. I took my coat off and swung it around for a bit, until I grew bored. I was feeling so childish and happy now. It was because, after months of saving meager amounts of pocket money, and weeks of being cooped up in one place, I was finally free from the Under 14s babysitting course. Now I could do things that 12 year olds are MEANT to do, like go to the cinema, and go rollerblading. For the first time in my life I was going to have some fun.

My cheerful smile faded as I remembered why I was taking this babysitting course. It wasn't because I loved burping babies, or playing hide-and-seek with toddlers. It was because we actually needed the money to pay for food and clothes and bills. Well I suppose it will be nice to get fresh fruit instead of rotten fruit for a while. And stylish clothes instead of the old rags your granny wears. But I'd much rather have fun than be sensible. Wouldn't anyone?

Two weeks later my life had changed completely. I was babysitting five nights a week, and getting paid 5 euro an hour. And on top of that I still had to study and do homework, too. I didn't think I was the motherly type, not yet. I had one family I dodn't mind though. I think it was because the parents weren't snobbish, and the kids demanding. Actually tonight I'm babysitting their kids, I think. It's a good half hours cycle up there. So I'd better go. I'll keep you informed of what happens next.

Please tell me what you think of it (even If you hate it ) Thanks!!!

  28. Posted 10 September 2013 at 20:56:44

    @KitKat

Thanks for saying my story's good.I got the idea becuase someone in school read a story about an adult who worked as a babysitter, so I just changed the age and made it a bit more interesting.

    MY STORY POST
This won't be as good as the others but I though I'd have a go:
    -----------------------
I have two mums. The first one is my Mum's
sister; Auntie Sarah. Ever since Mum died she helped Dad cope and talked to me about all the girly things he doesn't know about. Then, there is Jane, Dad's new wife. She's reall nice as well but a bit older than Dad. She tells me stories about her life when she was little when she played hopscotch on roads and sewed every night. Jane also helps me with cooking (I can make an apple pie already)! If you think I'm going to moan on about how much I hate Jane then your wrong. Mum died when I was six and I can scarely remember her. No this story is all about me moving house. Technically, this isn't a story, just a diary, but I'm hoping to publish it and my english teacher (Miss Larkrise) will help me with all the boring bits like punctuation and grammar. Anyway, I think I better get started then. Okay, I'm writing this in my little room in the attic. It's crammed with boxes seeing as we just moved yesterday and Aunt Sarah could hardly get through them all to see me.
"Couldn't you have one of the bigger rooms," she asked me.
"But Aunt Sarah," I whined. "This is like a fairy tale attic. I'll tidy it up, I promise, please let me keep it." She gave in eventually with much sighing and went of to her house which is just next door. That's part of the reason why we moved - so Aunt Sarah could be near us. There is a little door connecting our two houses and we each have the key. I can't wait to invite my best friend Tilly round! She's small with curly red hair and freckles. She does gym and can run faster than any of the boys who try to ignore her. They can't for long though, seeing as no one can feel cross at Tilly. She's about half the size of Maxim the tallest boy in our class and you just feel like a bully whenever you try...
